For this purpose, we have a bath line in which the aluminium is treated prior to gluing. The treatments applied are: phosphoric-sulphuric anodising (PSA) and phosphoric anodising (PAA). In addition, we have a hot plate press that allows the curing process of metal-to-metal bonded joints to be carried out. For certain two-component adhesives, curing is carried out in ovens, using specifically designed tooling as defined by the manufacturers&#8217; specifications.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To perform these tests, we have IR spectrophotometer equipment with Fourier transform, rotational and ball drop viscometers, pycnometers and Shore D hardness testers. To perform the mechanical tests, we have tools specifically designed to study these materials in addition to different universal testing machines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Annually, we carry out more than 500 tests related to the characterisation of the mechanical properties of metallic materials .<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Within the mechanical testing of metallic materials , our quality system includes 26 standardised procedures accredited by ENAC and NADCAP, and approved by Airbus, Bombardier and Embraer. Using these procedures, we perform the following tests on film-type structural adhesive materials: Appearance of the individual components, compression of rigid plastics, non volatile content, volatile content (foaming structural adhesive films), volatile content, single lap shear metal-metal, apparent density of solid samples, density of liquid samples, density of solid or viscous samples, shore d hardness, specific gravity, apparent, of liquid samples, compression modulus test of rigid plastics, floating roller peel, t- peel test, compression stress test of rigid plastics, peel strength at 180\u00b0 of adhesive bonds, cure time, pot life, tensile strength of butt joints, and viscosity: determination using a single cylinder type rotational viscometer
