Specifically, the project addresses the development and technological demonstration of anthropomorphic robot heads that will enable automated precision operations such as drilling carbon fiber or hybrid stacks with aluminum or titanium, bolt and rivet installation, paints inspection or sealants application, among others. There will be also an active monitoring of these operations thanks to the development of artificial intelligence algorithms for early warning system and autonomousof possible deviations or failures of the robotic system.<\/p>\n<p>The project will take three years, and Titania will be in charge of the characterization of all processes to be automated. Other companies that are part of the consortium, in addition to Airbus Operations and Titania, are Loxin, CT Engineering and Altran.<\/p>\n<p>The Smart Robotics project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through the &#8220;Operational Program for Intelligent Growth 2014-2020&#8221; and the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, through the Center for Industrial
