The Social Council of the University of Cádiz has released the list of winners of the V Edition of the Social Involvement Awards. These awards highlight the work done by companies in the field of social responsibility, graduates who have put in value the university profile in their career, and the student who has best represented the university community in the field of collaboration, solidarity and social involvement.
Titania has been awarded with this prize in the business category for its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy carried out in the last year.
The consolidation of the company since its creation in 2006 has been growing along with its involvement in different initiatives and supporting projects in different fields of action. The NGO Alma de África, the Association of Women With Breast Cancer from Cadiz (AGAMAMA) or the Museke organization are some of the entities which Titania has collaborated with.
For Titania, as a spin off of the University of Cadiz (UCA), both training and the sponsorship of events in the university sphere are a priority in its CSR policy, and it maintains a close relationship not only with the UCA but with other Andalusian universities.
“This award should help to make visible the work and actions of the institutions with which we collaborate and whose projects show us other realities that are part of our environment”
Titania guides its CSR actions with the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) promoted by United Nations, so that, to date, its actions have focused on 9 of these Goals: Zero Hunger; Good Health & Well-Being; Quality education; Gender equality; Decent Work and Economic Growth; Reduced Inequalities; Responsible Production and Consumption; Climate Action; and Peace, Justice and strong institutions.
For Miguel Ángel Rodríguez, manager of Titania, ‘this award should help to make visible the work and actions of the institutions with which we collaborate and whose projects show us other realities that are part of our environment’.
