The participation of Titania in this project will focus both on the study of the properties of the new resins that are becoming an alternative to cheapen the raw materials needed, and on the development of a new low-cost manufacturing process at a pre-industrial scale. In relation to the latter, Titania will implement a new low-cost process in its R&D center for composite materials manufacturing: the resin infusion. This new process will complement its current capabilities, which consist in autoclave manufacturing, at the research level, which is the most widely used process in the aerospace industry.
Technological Corporation of Andalusia (CTA), an entity that supports Andalusian companies and universities by promoting regional R&D and technology transfer, finances this project, which will run until December 2019 in the facilities that MALTA2020 consortium companies have in the province of Cadiz.
