Titania is attending one more edition in the most important congress in Spain on composite materials, MATCOMP, whose edition 2019 itakes place from July 3-5 in the city of Vigo, Galicia. This XIII National Congress of Composite Materials will count on the participation of more than 200 speakers, and will focus on reinforcing the impact of composite materials in Industry 4.0 and in sectors such as automotive, naval, aeronautics, renewable energy and construction, among others.
Three expert technologists of titania in composite materials will present some papers in MATCOMP in which they will share, with the rest of the scientific community, the latest results of their research in the area of composites, for example, regarding the complex geometry parts manufacturing by infusion, FEM simulation of stiffened structures with pultruded carbon fiber profiles and advanced surface characterization of CFRP surfaces.
The Andalusian company has an important technological capacity to deal with composite materials, thanks to which it has consolidated its leadership position at European level as a comprehensive services and testing of composites supplier, among other materials. Titania, within its Strategic R&D Plan, has established the composite manufacturing technologies as one of its priority objectives , which highlights the manufacturing capabilities in autoclave curing cycles, and the infusion and pultrusion technologies out of autoclave. There are several R&D projects that have been developed, or are still in the implementation phase, focused on composite materials, such as Pultrubeam, Air Union, Malta2020, FAMACOM or EASYJOINT, projects of which you can learn more on “News” section at titania’s website.
