The Andalucía Aerospace Cluster has recognised Titania’s work at its General Assembly held at the premises of the Andalusian Confederation of Employers (CEA). Its annual award for Aerospace Executive of the Year went to our CEO Miguel Ángel Rodríguez and was presented by Antonio Gómez-Guillamón, President of the Cluster.

During his speech, Miguel Ángel Rodríguez highlighted the international projection of the cluster companies and how in the coming years we should see this translated into a greater and more important role as a driving force for local industry in Andalusia.

Also in relation to our local industry, he spoke about the impact of the closure of the Airbus plant in Puerto Real on the creation of new business projects in Andalusia. On this point, he recalled that the researchers who founded Titania 15 years ago now would not have taken this step without the presence of the Airbus plants in the Andalusian provinces of Cadiz and Seville.

In this sense, the role of the cluster as an instrument for communicating the aeronautical potential of our region is more important than ever to ensure that Airbus does not choose to close plants located in our autonomous community.
