From 8 to 11 May, a series of business meetings were held in India, convened by Extenda – Andalucía Exportación e Inversión Extranjera, a commercial venture in which Andalusian companies from the aeronautical sector were introduced to entities and institutions based on the Indian subcontinent. The meetings took place at various locations of the country, such as Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad, and were attended by eight Andalusian companies: from Seville (Alestis Aerospace, Lamaignere, Indaero, Grupo Gazc and Gaptek), Cádiz (Intec Air and Titania) and Malaga (Aertec Solutions).

Titania was represented by Fernando Serrano Collantes, Head of Business Development, who focused on two objectives: on the one hand, on the search for new aerostructure companies established in India; and on the other, on increasing current activity in the Indian market through the aeronautical companies that are going to be strategic for the sector. This was done through the promotion of Titania’s catalogue of tests and technical capabilities which cover all types of materials, as a result of the approvals and accreditations which allow technological support in the manufacturing processes to the industry and to complement the Quality and R&D+i area.

The Cádiz-based company showed its satisfaction with the number and quality of the meetings held, improving relations with current and potential customers. This new business opportunity in the Indian aeronautical market is valued positively since, according to Extenda data, the Indian government has acquired 56 Airbus Defence and Space C295 aircraft for the Indian Air Force, of which 16 will be manufactured in Spain.

Extenda – Andalucía Exportación e Inversión Extranjera is a public company set up by the Junta de Andalucía to promote the internationalisation of Andalusian companies and the attraction of foreign investment. The guidelines for its activity are based on the Strategy for the Internationalisation of the Andalusian Economy 2022-227, a planning instrument coordinated by the General Secretariat for External Action, European Union and Cooperation.
