Titania has a portfolio of over one hundred national and international clients, representing an increase of 30% over recent years, with Airbus Group, Aernnova, and Alestis Aerospace as its main contract holders. The Andalusian company strengthens its position in Europe in aerospace testing of materials and processes, particularly in destructive testing, which represents more than a 35% share of the Spanish market.

But one of the main aspects to highlight in this positive trend of Titania in international turnover, which has tripled this year and now represent 10% of total sales. Titania already operates in the markets of France, Germany, Portugal, United States and Malaysia, and for 2016 they have challenged themselves to move into the UK, as a part of their positioning strategy in European countries where Airbus is present.

As novelty, Titania has started working for manufacturers of materials and chemicals such as US companies PPG Aerospace and W. L. Gore & Associates, and in Europe with the Airbus plants in France.

The company maintains its commitment to R&D-i and continues to invest in the acquisition of new equipment to keep on growing and opening new lines of research. Titania has completed the setting up of a composite materials manufacturing center, that will encourage the participation of Titania in a couple of Innterconecta projects with an implementation period of two years, as part of two Spanish consortia led by Airbus to develop technologies for manufacturing composites.

The first, called APOLLO, aims at manufacturing turboprop wings through logistics optimization and online development. A project led by the CBC of Airbus Defense and Space, in which Titania will participate by manufacturing elements out of autoclave material.

The second project, AIR-UNION, relies on Airbus Illescas as a core partner and the Spanish companies, Carbures and Aerosertec. With a budget of €3,482,157, it aims to develop robust procedures and processes for glued carbon fiber repairs. Titania will investigate new methods of surface activation laser-based processing.

Thanks to APOLLO and AIR-UNION, Titania takes another step towards its goal of becoming a center of international reference for R&D for the tractor aerospace companies.
