On Tuesday, 14 October, the First Edition of the Andalusian Mark of Excellence in Equality was celebrated at the Antiguo Convento de Santa María de los Reyes in Seville. The initiative is promoted by the Regional Ministry of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality, through the Andalusian Institute for Women.

Of the 76 companies that entered this first edition, only 45 managed to obtain the distinction. Titania was one of these, recognised in the medium-sized company category for its firm commitment to genuine equality in the traditionally male-dominated industry sector.

The award recognises the work that Titania has been carrying out to promote equal opportunities both within and outside the organisation, in collaboration with key social agents. The company’s commitment to female talent is reflected in its balanced workforce, as well as its active participation in regional conferences and programmes aimed at promoting equality and attracting women to work in technology fields.

This new recognition is added to others already obtained by the company in the field of equality. In March 2023, Titania was awarded the Meridiana Prize in the category of R&D+i initiatives, awarded by the same Regional Ministry. Likewise, in November of the same year, it received the IGUALIDA Award, granted by the International Association for Equality, Non-Discrimination and Diversity (IAEDD).

With these awards, Titania consolidates its position not only as a benchmark in the Andalusian technology sector, thanks to its work in materials science research projects, but also as an example of responsible management, social commitment and the promotion of proactive equality policies.

The Head of Human Resources and Communication, Virginia Gómez, was responsible for collecting the award and highlighted the need to integrate a gender perspective and a non-discrimination approach throughout the value chain.

The event concluded with a reception that served as a space for meeting and exchange between the recognised entities and the attendees.
